  • Current graduate students, faculty members

How to USE

  • Log in to the Medical Library website and click Apply for an iThenticate Account, complete the application form, and submit your request after agreeing to the personal information collection and use policy.
  • ※ You will be redirected to the Medical Library login page. After logging in, you can submit your application.
  • Once your application is approved by the administrator, you will receive an account activation email from iThenticate (Subject: Welcome to iThenticate!). You may begin using the service after activating your account.

Notes

  • Only institutional email addresses ending with @korea.ac.kr or @kumc.or.kr can be used as an iThenticate login ID.
  • Due to the iThenticate platform upgrade in March 2025, users who did not complete account activation at that time will be unable to log in.
  • If you need your account reactivated, please contact the administrator with your login ID. The activation email can be resent without submitting a new application.
  • iThenticate is subject to an annual usage limit. Excessive use may result in service restrictions. Please refrain from unnecessary similarity checks and account sharing.
    (※ Similarity checks for manuscripts not authored by you are prohibited and may result in suspension of access.)
  • The Similarity Score (%) provided by iThenticate does not indicate plagiarism by itself. It represents the percentage of matched text identified when a document is compared with other sources. Users should review all matched text carefully, regardless of the similarity score.
  • Graduate students should use Turnitin when submitting theses or dissertations for degree requirements, while graduate students and faculty should use iThenticate when preparing manuscripts for submission to academic journals.
    (Turnitin is intended for student assignments and theses, while iThenticate is intended for individual scholarly manuscript submissions.)
