π-organic luminescent materials have recently been used very importantly in recognition systems. It was found that the organic semiconducting tris(8-hydroxyquinoline)-aluminum (Alq3) doped with DNA by reprecipitation method was very effective method for the specific DNA-DNA recognition. In this master's thesis, Alq3 particles were doped with DNA molecules, and it was confirmed that the photoluminescence distribution was divided into three parts under the hydrodynamic flow condition during crystallization process. The different photoluminescence property was caused by small pores in Alq3 particles. The porous structure in Alq3 result in different bio-recognition. This study presents a new direction for the bio-recognition technology.
