This study investigates the impact of corruption and political instability on foreign direct investment inflows. To test the suggested arguments, data from fifteen OECD member countries were employed for the period of 2009 to 2019. The empirical analysis outcomes showed the negative impact of corruption and political instability on FDI inpour. Meanwhile, the e-government acted as a moderator for the main objects. The results indicate that the host country’s e-government policy development positively influences the negative effect of corruption and political instability on FDI. The paper has implications for governments seeking to improve their economic conditions. They should invest more in E-government to increase FDI and mitigate corruption. The theoretical implications include contributions to the OLI paradigm and institutional theory by examining e-government in terms of location-specific advantage and a regulative pillar.
