프레드릭 뉴마이어(지은이)

1969년 일리노이대학에서 언어학 박사학위를 취득한 직후부터 현재까지 워싱턴대학교 교수로 재직하고 있다. 미국 언어학회 총무이사를 1989년부터 1993년까지 맡았으며, 2002년에는 회장으로 활동하였다.
