Author Introduction
안토니오 네그리(지은이)
이탈리아의 사회학자이자 정치철학자이며, 그의 ‘제국’ 공동저술 ‘2차적 스피노자’로 잘 알려져 있다 . 이탈리아 파도바에서 태어난 그는 고향 대학에서 정치철학 교수가 되었다. 그는 1969년 ‘노동자의 힘’(Worker Power) 그룹을 설립했으며 자율주의 이론가 중의 한명이다. 그는 1970년대 후반 좌익 테러조직의 대변인을 포함한 다양한 혐의로 기소되었다. 1978년 5월 이탈리아 총리 ‘알도 모로’ 납치 사건에 연루된 붉은 여단을 대신하여 협박전화를 한 것으로 잘못 의심 했지만 법원은 그의 유죄를 확실하게 증명할 수 없었다. 네그리의 좌익 극단주의에 대한 의문은 논란의 여지가 있는 주제이다. 그는 “국가에 대한 연합과 반란”(나중에 기소 된 혐의)을 포함한 여러 가지 혐의로 기소되었고 두 살인에 대하여 중형을 선고 받았다. 네그리는 유죄가 선고되자 교리에 의하여 프랑스로 도망갔고, 파리대학과 Collage 국제철학부에서 푸코, 들뢰즈와 함께 가르쳤다. 1997년에 교도소 시간을 30년 징역형을 13년으로 단축하는 협상을 통해 이탈리아로 돌아왔다. 그의 가장 영향력 있는 책들 중 다수는 그가 숨어 있는 동안 출판되었다. 그는 현재 프랑스 철학자 Judith Revel과 함께 베니스와 파리에 살고 있다.
