말콤 토리(엮은이)

영국 시민기본소득트러스트(Citizen’s Basic income Trust)를 이끄는 중심인물이자 2월 초 개최되는 ‘2020년 대한민국 기본소득박람회’에 초청된 저자 말콤 토리의 2013년 저작《모두를 위한 기본소득》은, 출간 직후 영국 유수의 일간지에 기본소득을 다룬 최초의 전면적인 기사를 등장시켰고 또 다른 여러 기사들이 나오게 함으로써 영국의 기본소득 논의 수준을 한 단계 높인 계기를 만들었다. 런던정경대학(LSE) 방문 교수로도 활동하고 있다. 대학에서는 경제, 경영, 철학, 수학, 신학을, 대학원에서는 사회정책과 신학을 전공했다. 1980년부터 2014까지 영국교회의 목회자로 봉사했고, 2014년부터는 기본소득운동과 사회보장 개혁 및 연구에 매진하고 있다. 저서로는《시민소득의 실현가능성The Feasibility of Citizen’s Income》(2016),《시민기본소득Citizen’s Basic Income》(2016),《중재기관Mediating Institutions》(2016),《시민소득을 위한 101가지 이유 101 Reasons for a Citizen’s Income》(2015),《모두를 위한 기본소득Money for Everyone》(2013) 등이 있다.
