닉 나이트(지은이)
호주의 퀸즐랜드 대학(Queensland University)에서 학사학위(1974)를, 런던대학(the University of London)의 SOAS(School of Oriental and African Studies)에서 석사학위(1977)와 박사학위(1983)를 취득하였다. 이후 1981년부터 2008년까지 호주의 그리피스대학(Griffith University)의 교수로 재직하였다. 닉 나이트는 중국에 관한 다양한 주제를 다룬 저작들을 저술하였으며, 특히 마오쩌둥 사상과 중국 혁명의 지도자들에 대한 연구를 중점적으로 수행하였다. 주요 논문과 저술로는 “Mao Zedong's On Contradiction and On Practice: Pre-Liberation Texts”, China Quarterly, vol.84, 1980; Soviet Philosophy and Mao Zedong's ‘Sinification of Marxism’, Journal of contemporary Asia, vol.20, no.1, 1990; Marxism and Asia(1985, 공저), Mao Zedong on Dialectical Materialism: Writings on Philosophy, 1937(1990, 편저), Critical Perspectives on Mao Zedong's Thought(1997, 공저); Li Da and Marxist Philosophy in China(1996), Marxist Philosophy in China: From Qu Qiubai to Mao Zedong 1923-1945(2005); China-Japan relations on the twenty-first century: creating a future past?(2008, 공저); Imagining Globalization in China: Debates on Ideology, Politics, and Culture(2008) 등이 있다.
