Mark A. Gluck(지은이)
러트거스대학교 뉴어크 캠퍼스 신경과학 교수이자 러트거스-뉴어크 기억 이상 연구 프로젝트의 공동책임자이며, 대중을 위한 뉴스레터인 「기억 상실과 뇌(Memory loss and the Brain)」의 발행인이기도 하다. Gluck 교수의 연구는 계산과학적 및 실험적 접근을 이용한 학습과 기억의 신경 기반 이해에 초점을 두고 있다. 그는 또한 노화, 외상 및 질환에 의해 생기는 기억상실의 결과에 대한 연구도 진행하고 있다. 최근에는 『Gateway to Memory: An Introduction to Neural Network Modeling of the Hippocampus and Learning』(MIT Press, 2001)을 공동으로 집필했고, 『Neuroscience and Connectionist Theory』(Lawrence Erlbaum Associates, 1990), 『Model Systems and the Neurobiology of Associative Learning: A Festschrift for Richard F. Eduardo Mercado(지은이)
뉴욕주립대학교 버팔로 캠퍼스의 조교수이다. 그의 연구는 뇌의 여러 영역들이 어떻게 상호작용해서 경험한 사건들의 표상을 만들어 내며, 이러한 표상이 시간에 따라 어떻게 변화해 가는지에 초점을 두고 있다. Mercado 교수는 실험심리학, 계산신경과학, 전기공학 및 행동신경과학의 다양한 방법론을 이용해서 설치류, 갑각류 그리고 인간에서 학습과 기억에 관한 주제들을 연구한다.
