Author Introduction

아르망 마텔라르(지은이)

사회학자로 1936년 벨기에에서 태어났다. 1962년부터 파시스트 쿠데타가 일어난 1973년까지 칠레에 살면서 많은 매스 커뮤니케이션 사업에 관여했다. 문화 제국주의에 관해 광범한 주제로 글을 썼으며 <다국적 기업과 문화지배>(1979), <세계 이미지 시장 >(M.마텔라드, X.델구르와 공저;1984), <이미지의 축제 : 브라질의 TV 드라마>(M.바텔라르와 공저;1991)가 대표적인 저작이다. 현재 오트브르타뉴대학(렌2대학) 정보통신학과 교수로 재직하고 있다.
