G. 존 아이켄베리(엮은이)

1954년 출생해 맨체스터대학교를 졸업하고, 시카고대학교에서 박사학위를 취득했다. 국무성정책기획국, 브루킹스 연구소 주임연구원, 우드로 윌슨 국제센터 펠로우, 조지타운대학교 교수로 일했다. 현재는 프린스턴대학교 정치학과 국제관계론 석좌교수이다. 프린스턴 국제안보연구센터의 공동 소장이며, 경희대학교 석학교수이기도 하다. 최근 국제관계론 학자를 대상으로 한 설문조사에서 지난 20년간 이 분야에서 가장 뛰어난 저작을 배출한 학자 10위, 5년간 가장 흥미로운 저작을 배출한 학자 8위에 올랐다. 지은 책으로 《리버럴 리바이어던: 미국 체제의 기원, 위기 및 변화》(2011) 《일극체제와 국제관계론》(2011), 미국의 현대 외교정책에서 윌슨의 유산을 탐구하는 《미국 외교정책의 위기: 21세기 윌슨주의》(2009), 《서구의 종말: 대서양 질서의 위기와 변화》(2008) 《자유 질서와 제국의 야망》(2006), 국제사와 정치학에서 최고의 책으로 미국 정치학 협회가 수여하는 2002 슈뢰더-저비스상을 수상한 《승리 이후: 제도와 전략적 억제 그리고 전후의 질서구축》(2001) 등이 있으며 기사, 에세이, 책 등을 다수 발표했다.
