폴 코블리(엮은이)
기호학자며 커뮤니케이션 학자로 기호학과 장르 이론, 대중소설, 영화와 텔레비전 스릴러 등 다양한 분야에 대한 연구를 진행하고 있다. 런던 메트로폴리탄 대학교에서 기호 및 커뮤니케이션 교수로 지냈으며, 현재 미들섹스 대학교 언어와 미디어학과 교수와 세계기호학회(IASS)의 회장이다. 지은 책으로 《아메리칸 스릴러The American Thriller》 《내러티브Narrative》 《생물기호의 문화적 의미Cultural Implications of Biosemiotics》 등이 있다.
