Perceived Organization Culture of Rehabilitation therapist and Effects of Character of Organization and Organization Effectiveness on Customer Orientation

  This study investigates Organization culture, character of Organization, organization effectiveness of Rehabilitation therapist who are working in a general hospital, classification of organization culture and effects of demographic characteristics, and hospital characteristics on organization culture. Additionaly, effects of character of organization and organization effectiveness on customer orientation are analyzed.

  Questionnaires were administered to working in a working in general hospital located in Seoul, Kyunggi-do area. Statistical analysis was done by the SPSS 10.0 program using methods such as t-test, ANOVA, correlation, multiple regression. Post-hoc analysis was performed by the scheffe method and reliability was checked by the SAS program.

  The following results were obtained
  First, The perceived organization culture of rehabilitation therapists ranked relation culture high, while innovative culture showed a lower level. 
  Second, Among the demographic characteristic, college educated males, working  less than one year, are more oriented to relation culture.
  Third, Among the hospital characteristics,  full time 70 to 80%, third-tied medical providers, companies and university based foundations are highly correlated with relation culture.
  Fourth, The most significant factor in influencing customer orientation was self-discipline, followed by job satisfaction and motivation.

  Comparative study which include various parts and hospitals are needed. for the advancement of rehabilitation therapists who take an interest in social-welfare and the effective management and organization of hospitals.
