로버트 앨브리턴(엮은이)
캐나다 토론토에 소재한 요크 대학교 정치과학부 명예교수인 그는 전 세계 식량 위기를 신선한 시각으로 풀어주는 경제학자다. 마르크스 이론을 주제로 한 <변형된 경제학>, <실존주의 유토피아> 등의 도서를 냈고, 식품혁명을 다룬 <식품 연구의 비판적 시각>을 펴낸 바 있으나 국내에 소개된 것은 이 책이 처음이다. <푸드쇼크>를 통해 식량의 과소 공급과 과잉 공급 상황을 동시에 만드는 현 경제 조건을 명쾌하게 분석했다. 또한 자본주의가 인류의 건강에 미치는 영향을 독특하고 논리적인 방법으로 풀어낸다.
