낸시 에이벨만(엮은이)
일리노이대학교 어배너-섐페인 캠퍼스 인류학과 교수. 인류학, 아시아계 미국인 연구, 동아시아 언어문화학을 가르쳤다. Blue Dreams(Harvard, 1995), Echoes of the Past, Epics of Dissent(University of California, 1996), The Melodrama of Mobility(University of Hawaii, 2003), South Korean Golden Age Melodrama(Wayne State University, 2005), The Intimate University(Duke, 2009) 등의 저서를 집필했다. 한국학 연구에 크게 공헌한 그녀는 2016년 1월 사망했다.
