저자소개

Edward P. Lazear(엮은이)

Jack Steele Parker 석좌교수로 스탠퍼드대학교 경영대학원에서 인적자원관리 및 경제학 분야를 맡고 있다. 그는 동 대학교에서 다수의 우수강의상을 수상했을 뿐 아니라 Hoover Institution, National Bureau of Economic Research, Center for Corporate Performance, Center for Economic Policy Research 그리고 Institute for the Study of Labor의 연구위원이기도 하다. UCLA에서 학사와 석사 학위를, 하버드대학교에서 경제학 박사 학위를 취득했고 수년간 시카고대학교에서 강의를 한 바 있다. Lazear 교수는 인사경제학 분야의 창시자로 알려져 있으며 100편이 넘은 연구논문과 여러 저서와 연금, 차별, 보상, 커리어, 장려급제, 인적자본, 기업가 정신 등 여러 분야에 관해 보고서의 저자이기도 하다. 동시에 2006년에서 2008년까지 워싱턴에서 미국 대통령 경제자문위원회의 위원장으로 재직하였고 여러 국가의 경제정책을 자문한 바 있다. Journal of Labor Economics의 설립 편집자이다.
