캐스 선스타인(엮은이)

하버드대학교 법학대학원 교수. 미국에서 가장 자주 인용되는 법학자로 유엔, 유럽 위원회, 세계은행 및 많은 국가의 정부 공직자에게 법과 공공정책 문제에 대해 조언하며, 법철학 분야에서 독자적인 업적을 남겼다. 2009년부터 2012년까지 오바마 행정부의 규제정보국 국장으로 일하며 행동경제학을 정부 정책에 적극 활용했다. 이후 하버드대학교에서 ‘행동경제학 및 공공정책 프로그램’을 설립했으며, 2020년 세계보건기구 ‘행동 통찰과 건강을 위한 기술 자문단’ 의장을 역임했다. 2021년에는 국토안보부의 선임 고문 및 규제정책 책임자로 바이든 행정부에 합류했다. 인문학・사회학・법학・신학 분야에서 탁월한 업적을 세운 학자에게 수여하는 홀베르그상을 수상했으며, 저서로는 『넛지』(공저) 『심플러』 『누가 진실을 말하는가』 『노이즈』 『우리는 왜 극단에 끌리는가』 등이 있다.
