존 가트맨(지은이)

부부 및 관계 치료 분야의 세계적인 권위자 존 가트맨 박사는 MIT에서 수학 및 물리학 석사학위를, 위스콘신대학에서 임상심리학 석?박사학위를 받았다. 현재 워싱턴대학 심리학과 명예교수이다. 부인 줄리 슈워츠 가트맨 박사와 함께 ‘가트맨 연구소(Gottman Institute)’를 창립했으며, 워싱턴대학의 ‘러브랩’을 창설했다. 미국국립정신건강연구소 과학자상을 네 차례 수상하고, 미국심리학협회 평생공로상을 수상하기도 했다. 지금까지 200여 편의 논문을 발표했으며, 저서로는『부부를 위한 사랑의 기술』『우리 아이를 위한 부부 사랑의 기술』『내 아이를 위한 감정코칭』『그녀를 모르는 그에게』등이 있다.
